Doors for the Third Temple

By the great grace of God, after a year and a half of great toil, the doors of the temple of the Third Temple stand built and ready to be placed.

According to the Mishnah in Tractate Midot, the doors of the temple are accordion doors – two doors, each with two wings that fold behind each other when opened.

We built the doors from 8 iron frames from a 5cm profile, 4.80 meters long, which is 10 cubits, by 1.20 meters wide, which is about 2.5 cubits.

On top of them are attached 32 plates of birch AA wood, 9 millimeters thick.

The birch plates were cut in such a way that they created over 10,000 thousand wood chips that were glued together by hundreds of boys and girls on a volunteer basis.

On the plates appears a four-millimeter thick copper stamping.

The demarcation of the doors was done by 9 months of carving in Lebanese cedar wood and hand-carved 21 meters wide, 60 cm wide, waiting to be covered with pure gold.

The decorations on the doors are from the scriptures that describe the decorations of cherubim, palm trees (date palm trees) and flowers – braids,

tubers and budding.

Today, the giant gates rise to a height of 9.60 meters with a combined width of 4.80 meters – twenty cubits by ten cubits according to the smallest cubit ratio accepted in Halacha.
